"There ain't no getting offa this train we on!"

Sorry for the crude Photoshop and stupid FF7 references, I felt like I haven't been messing around with Photoshop lately, and this is the sad result of what happens when I'm uninspired, I guess. Anyway, I'm enjoying Spirit Tracks so far. Before I get too far into details though, here are the results of the last poll.

Review - Star Ocean: Second Evolution

Star Ocean: Second Evolution is the PSP port of the old Play Station game, Star Ocean: The Second Story. So what makes this port worthwhile if you have played Star Ocean: The Second Story, and if you haven't, is this a good opportunity to pick up what you've missed out on?

Mamono Sweeper

I saw this being posted in the KoL chatrooms, and I thought it was an interesting twist to Minesweeper.

Mamono Sweeper AKA Monster Sweeper plays the same as Minesweeper, except with an element of RPG. Your objective is to defeat all monsters in the field, but in order to do so, you'll have to defeat the weaker enemies first to level up before you are strong enough to take on the stronger enemies.

Ultimate Backlog List

Placeholder image until I make a graphic for Backlogs.
Now that my DS is back in business again with my Krazy Glue repairs, I feel the need to update the backlog with the tweaks in placements, some new additions to the list.

Integration Implementation

The blog has been undergoing many small tweaks in the past couple of months, mostly with the gadgets I've added on the side. Perhaps the one that may end up being big is the Facebook Like button, which I've changed from a generic Like button to a Like button for the Facebook page I made for this blog, so if you've Liked the blog before and shows that you haven't Liked it yet, that is why. As of now, I have the other features with the Like Button disabled for now, like messages from the Facebook page showing up beneath and such, but that may change depending on the width size, whether if the messages I post on the Facebook page will be worth showing here, and possibly other criteria I may have overlooked.

Aside from the Facebook integration, I also plan on implementing other things on the side, like an Affiliates section. Just that I haven't exactly been satisfied with the previous buttons and banners I've made for doing that, so I'm looking for new designs to use to better promote The Code to appeal to more people with similar interests. For a small banner, maybe some sprite art may work best. However, I am currently on the lookout for artists in general, for many projects for the site as well. If you would like to try your hands at some art that will get used on the site, please contact me, perhaps on the Facebook page mentioned above, which can be found by clicking on the link directly above the Like button.

Now, before I forget, here are the results for the latest poll.

Rant - Holiday Monopoly

Holidays are nice. Your everyday routine of daily life gets spruced up for a day with something eventful and usually something pleasant. These events are usually held within a community of people to partake in traditional activities that is supposed to be fun. However, there have been greedy communities out there that seems to try to monopolize the holidays to themselves by competing with other communities for people's participation, and these greedy communities tend to be online, avatar forum sites, like Gaia Online.

The Second Evolution - Second Run

So I got my second ending for Star Ocean: The Second Evolution, this time as Rena in Universe mode, not that the difficulty affects the ending or anything. I do have to say that Universe mode certainly makes it a lot more difficult to stay alive, with the greater amount of damage that the enemies do. Even with all the Item Creations and Specialties that I used to get some really nice equipments, the difficulty ended up pushing me to leveling up my characters a lot more than I had to in Galaxy Mode. Also, before I started making better equipments via Item Creations, I was doing some pretty crappy damages too. >_> Customization helped so much once I got to Nede... Couldn't keep up with the difficulty otherwise.

Review - Just Cause 2

Just Cause 2 is an Action Adventure, Sandbox game in a modern setting, like the popular Grand Theft Auto series. Although there are no "cheat codes" like what GTA has, you get access to an aerial black market that will transport you weapons and vehicles via helicopter, and also allow upgrades for them provided you have collected enough upgrade parts scattered across the entire country of Panau, a series of islands in southeast Asia.

The Waiting Game

It has been a fairly uneventful month for me, and I honestly haven't had too much to write about either. I'd like to move onto doing more reviews, but I haven't exactly completed any games recently either. I HAVE been working on several games, and some new ones that aren't listed in the backlog as well... just that I feel like I'm not making enough progress in them fast enough. But before I get into the details, here are the results for last month's poll.
