Updated Wishlist, Pre-2013

With a big Christmas as usual, I was able to get quite a lot of goodies from my previous wishlist. Things I got for Christmas includes...
  • 1 TB External Harddrive
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising
  • Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy
  • Kirby's Return to Dreamland
  • And a few other goodies outside my wishlist.
    • $10 League of Legends card for Riot Points
    • Desktop water fountain
    • Toothbrush... ?
    • 3DS car charger + case, and more.
The water fountain was something that used to be in my wishlist from about 5 years ago, when I was in college. I took it out from the wishlist due to how little room I have on my desk here, and how I thought any water fountain I would want would be too big. However, the water fountain I got is fairly compact. The only issue I have with it is that it didn't come with an adapter, so I'm currently using it with 2 AA batteries. I'll see how long the batteries will last me, but eventually, I'd like to get an adapter for it.

Also, Vicki got a Wii Motion Plus controller, so that will also be marked off from this wishlist as well.

Slashing Off From the Wishlist

Now that I've had two jobs, I actually have some spending money! With how neatly I've laid out what things I want/need on my wishlist, it certainly was easy deciding on what I should spend them on. A Nintendo 3DS! ... Also sweatbands.

It's about time I finally got one, and honestly, I should've had one much earlier anyway, if only I had a job to help fund it then. I may have missed out on the Ambassador Program and several other special offers for early 3DS owners, but it is certainly a neat device and I am looking forward to the entertainment that I will enjoy with it.

List of Do Want

Considering that my last wishlist was made back in January, with some of the things in the list now obtained finally, I figured it's about time I updated the wishlist once again. Also, I'm adding 1/144 Huckebein Boxer plastic model to the list that should have been there from the beginning, but I had forgotten about this whole time until recently.

Heck, I should have just gotten this when I saw it in the store like... 4 years ago when I came down here to Florida for the first time. It was sitting in one of the stores in the mall, which either moved or has closed down since then, so the whereabouts of this model is unknown. In fact, it's sold out on a lot of websites, and Amazon.com has it listed for something over $400! When I saw it at the mall, it was right around $100, and I'm practically kicking myself for not having bought it when I saw it. I should have figured out some way of carrying that huge box with all my luggage at the airport, which was my main concern that got me to decide against buying it then.

Wishlist Update - January 2012

THIS wishlist is going to be here to replace all previous wishlists because of how ... well, disorganized the whole thing has gotten, being on 3 separate lists with some items being obtained now thanks to Christmas. If I am careful enough, this wishlist should be the ONLY updated wishlist until maybe November or something when my birthday is at. I'll also be listing them in tiers of priority as well to better categorize my need for these things. With that said, here's hoping to see this wishlist last unlike all my previous ones. >_<

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is such a fun time. Getting together with family and friends and opening presents, and hang out with all our new stuff. o_o Cause that's what I totally did on Christmas. And of course, I thought it was appropriate for me to list all the new stuff I got this year, starting with things that weren't on my wishlist, followed by things that were on my wishlist, and... some more lists on the way on my blog after this post.

Wishlist - December 2011

Yup. Another wishlist. Turns out there were still quite a few things missing from my previous two lists that I've made for things that I'd want, and here I am, making an additional wishlist again. It's also Christmas in a week, ... but I guess this wishlist is kind of late for that, isn't it? Unless people like doing last minute shopping or something. This is just a list for myself though anyway, especially considering how I've forgotten about these things to begin with. Despite having forgotten them though, they ARE things that I am definitely interested in, and the reasons are provided.

Wishlist - November 2011

So I've been trying to get myself in the habit of posting once a day, but I wasn't able to keep it up with the sudden demand of my time popped up yesterday. My plans for today has been kind of a mess as well because of it and some other stuff having to crawl itself into my life. Really though, when someone else just dumps their responsibilities onto you in a worse situation then they had started with, it's a rather stressful experience. Everyone should know that, but I'm afraid the person who's doing this just doesn't understand until it's too late.

But I'm going to decide NOT to talk about that, and instead, do another wishlist. This time of some game software that I am interested in. I was contemplating whether to just do this in the other wishlist I had, but it just didn't seem to fit well, especially with the wishlist ending up with a bunch of video games in there with some random things like LED lights for Firion, a sweatband, and a sword thrown in the mix. Also, I'd like to not let this be a monthly thing, especially since I really don't find too many things that I'm really interested enough to buy anyway. I wouldn't have anything to put in these wishlists for a while anyway.

1. Fortune Street / Itadaki Street Wii

Glad this game got announced in the US. I'm playing the one on the DS in Japanese right now, and I find it to be more fun than Mario Party, mostly because winning in it is not-so reliant on luck-based minigames like Mario Party is, but rather economic strategy. In a nutshell, it's basically Monopoly with the stock market thrown into the mix. The stocks you buy are of the area that you buy properties of like in Monopoly. With more stocks bought in the area, or if the properties/buildings/stores in that area are worth more, the price of the stocks go up, and vice versa if people sell stocks, property value drops, etc. Having a solid economic strategy is the key to winning, which makes it more fun for me. If the game ran mostly on luck, then might as well play Russian Roulette. The game decides who wins; not the players. Sure, there are some skill-based minigames in Mario Party, but it just feels like the more the game gets a new iteration, the more the minigames are reliant on luck than skill. Can't remember which Mario Party I've really played much of last though. I know I owned 1-3, but I've played others at a friend's house I believe.

2. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Zelda has always been a huge series among Nintendo, and ... well, to put it bluntly, graphically, it looks better than Twilight Princess. I'm not saying Twilight Princess looked bad in particular, but Skyward Sword is so much more colorful. Leave the shades of gray and brown to maybe the dark world or something, but when majority of Hyrule looks like that, it just doesn't have the same appeal otherwise. As for gameplay, it looks like Skyward Sword is utilizing the Wii Motion Plus well, which is good. I just hope that they'll fill the game with plenty of content, and not end up rushed like Twilight Princess was. Not to mention this game gets released right on my birthday. >_> Coincidence much?

3. Kirby's Return to Dreamland

So ever since I was a little kid, I was into video games. The games I grew up with mostly consisted of Mario, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest when I was as early as 5 to 9 years old. But after that, I learned about Kirby, and found that its games are pretty fun and awesome. Among them, Kirby's Dreamland 2, Kirby SuperStar, and a few others really stuck out as great games to me, and ever since SuperStar, I always wanted another Kirby game just like that, but didn't quite happen for a while until Amazing Mirror brought back the way how abilities had multiple moves and stuff. Well, what I've seen of this game looks pretty promising to fulfill that desire to play another Kirby game that plays similarly, if not better. Also looking forward to the multiplayer aspects of this game.

4. Gyakuten Kenji 2 / Miles Edgeworth: Ace Investigations 2

Well, I'm one of the many that are disappointed that this game never got released in the US. =( Being that I'm Japanese though, I could technically play the game in Japanese, but I really like Capcom's localization team. They do a really great job at writing the scripts for the series, and I'm also concerned about having to import the game to play it. Importing is expensive, and it was something I wanted to avoid. Well, that's probably the only reason why I haven't played this game yet. Otherwise, I'm sure I would have enjoyed it much like the rest of the series.

5. Professor Layton VS Gyakuten Saiban

I don't have a 3DS yet, and this game isn't out yet, but hell. I'm excited about this game. The trailer has put a lot of hype for the game within the fans, and many of us are desperately hoping that this game will be released in the US. I'm still playing through Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box right now, but I'm hoping I'll be caught up with Professor Layton games by the time this game comes out in the US.

6. Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 (PS3)

I've always wanted to get Marvel VS Capcom 2. Never got the opportunity to get the game though. Then MvC3 came out, and thought it was finally my chance to own a fun, kickass fighting game. Never did get it though because this house never got a PS3, as described in my previous wishlist. @_@ But who knew that they would release an Ultimate MvC3 as soon as they did? Well, I feel bad for the people who had bought MvC3 and now have to buy the game again to be up-to-date, since I've been through that myself with a few SquareEnix games. Well, UMvC3 is even more appealing because of.. well, it's obvious by now. Phoenix Wright is a playable character in it. XD

7. Good People Die / Gyokugen Dasshutsu ADV: Zennin Shiboudesu

After having enjoyed 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, hearing that a sequel is in the works for the 3DS certainly has got my interest. Apparently it hasn't been announced whether if it would be released in the US yet though. Here's to hoping that it will be released in the US too. Leave a comment to show support for this game! ... Assuming they'll see this blog. >_> Regardless, talk about the series and let the marketing team in Aksys Games know that the public wants this game.

8. Pokemon Rumble Blast

Well, I played Pokemon Rumble, and I feel like I could say that it's a casually appealing game. Great for single player and multiplayer. I'd definitely like to pick this game up if my other friends will be getting this. I was disappointed with the first Pokemon Rumble on the WiiWare because it didn't have Pokemon from all 4 generations, but only the first and fourth gen in it, but Blast is supposedly going to have all 5 generations. Sounds great to me.

Well, it's also been a while since I've really talked about the games I've been playing too. I might have to go ahead and do that once I've reached a good point to do so.

Wishlist - October 2011

Just a quick list of things that I am looking into buying at the moment. Of course, knowing me, these things will sit in my wishlist for the next half a year or more

1. Marina Micro LED Lights, Light Set, & Hub

Firion needs more light. Read previous post for more details.

2. Nintendo 3DS

I mean, really. If this wasn't in the list here, what's wrong with me?

3. Plain Head Sweatband (Blue)

This is kind of an impulse listing, since I really don't have much NEED for a sweatband, but was wondering how effective it would be in keeping my long hair in place. Figured it's better than a girly headband, and always wearing it in a ponytail is kind of boring, but there are no other alternative way of wearing my hair that isn't stupid looking for me. If not, I was also wondering whether if it could double as an eye mask at night. >_>; ... Not its intended purpose, but I'm just a resourceful kind of guy who makes use of whatever I have available to use in a way that would get more things done, without harming anything... unless the item is just disposable or something.

4. Sony Playstation 3

This isn't really for me so much as it is for my girlfriend. Partially because my dad has a PS3 back at my house in New Jersey, and partially because the DVD player here is so crappy, it barely even plays DVDs. -_- What use does a DVD player have if it doesn't play DVDs properly? So I thought a PS3 would be a great replacement for that, as well as allowing me to play my copy of Star Ocean: The Last Hope - International - finally, which I had bought like... over a year ago. I believe I got it some time in February 2010, which was soon after I came down here to Florida. No one else we know seems to have a working PS3 around, and all this time, despite how badly I wanted to play the game, I haven't been able to play it. @_@

Okay, so maybe the PS3 IS partially for me, but it will be for my girlfriend to keep. I would have bought this a long time ago had I found a job like I had planned since I came here. =/ Even before fixing the economy, the corruption in Florida needs to be ironed out because things are quite messed up over here. Not going into politics though. Not my favorite topic, and neither is it for most of my readers anyway.

I'm trying to find more things that would go on this list, but I'm drawing a blank right now. Maybe there just isn't too much that I really want.. or that maybe I won't have much to want until I reach the door of playing more games with the 3DS and PS3 first. >_> Cause I could list the games that I want for them, but.. that'll have to wait until when I get the consoles, I guess.

Edit: After thinking some more, I realized there were two things that I've also had in mind.

5. Car

Don't care what brand, the features, and other luxury details. As long as it gets me to places safely, the cheapest car will do. Transportation is one of the things that are keeping me from getting a job right now, since the bus stops around here are ... stupidly lacking. The closest bus stop for me will probably be well over a mile or two, and waking up early enough to even fast walk over a mile to get to a BUS STOP to get to a job seems ridiculous to me. Maybe I'm spoiled to think that, but having my own car will definitely help increase my chances of landing a job. The only problem this isn't on top of the list though is because of auto insurance that I obviously can't afford to pay right now, even though my driving record is absolutely clean. Not even being stopped by a police officer for speeding and such. The roads in Florida are just.. ridiculous to me. The many drivers on the road don't communicate with the other drivers very much, the traffic lights are designed to CAUSE an accident with a $200+ fine hovering over each intersection with their red-light-runner capture cameras and their ridiculously short yellow lights, and tailgators everywhere. @_@ Second, there's no room in the driveway here for another car, unfortunately. I'm not sure where I would park my car if I were to get one at this house.

6.  Sword

Well, this has been on my mind since I picked up the way of the Sword Named Truth. But at the same time, it's been hard finding a good sword that matched my basic, standard image of the Sword. Generally, a long sword or a claymore would work well, as long as it is a double-edged sword, because many truths have two sides that can harm both the target and the user if not used correctly. This whole symbolism has had a strong impact on me, and I thought it would be nice to have as an ornament, as well as to pose with for pictures or something. Heck, if I ever do get a sword, I will post pictures of myself with the sword on here. Perhaps with the sweatband and some other stuff too. >_> Cause there's plenty of cool characters in video games that wear some type of headband.

Vincent from Final Fantasy VII
Dart from Legend of Dragoon

Sol from Guilty Gear

Although Sol's isn't really a sweatband, but it's still a band he wears on his head. ... Also, why are they all red.. ? >_> I can't think of any characters that wear blue headbands for some reason..
